Mug Wrap Size Calculator
Calculate mug wrap width from diameter, printable height and canvas pixels at your DPI.
Tapered travel mugs need brand-specific trapezoid templates — this tool is for cylindrical mugs.
How it works
Wrap width = π × diameter.Art height = available height − top clearance − bottom clearance.
Pixels = inches × DPI.
Worked example
3.35 in diameter → width ≈ 10.52 in.With 3.75 in height and 0.25 in clearances → art height 3.25 in.
At 300 DPI ≈ 3156 × 975 px.
Sublimation tips
| Tip | Why |
|---|---|
| Leave handle gap if needed | Full 360° wraps can wrinkle at the seam |
| Use poly-coated mugs | Standard ceramic needs coating for dye-sub |
| Mirror the art | Most mug presses require mirrored prints |
