Print Shop Pricing Formula

Markup vs margin formulas for print shop quotes, with setup fees.

Two ways to price

  1. Markup sell = unit cost × markup
  2. Margin sell = unit cost ÷ (1 − margin%)
  3. Quote total = (unit sell × quantity) + setup fee

Example: cost $8 → 25% markup = $10.00; 25% margin = $10.67. They are not the same.
